“You Will Never Conquer Fear Until You Change the Way You Think”
It has been said that our lives follow the direction of our most dominate thoughts. That’s why the scripture declares.
Proverbs 23:7 – “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he…”
Today’s Focus:
We live in a world full of worry.
- We worry about money
- We worry about health
- We worry about relationships
- We worry about our future
But here’s the truth:
You will never conquer Fear until you change the way you THINK. Proverbs tells us that our THINK is connected to our REALITY.
Understanding Fear
The meaning of fear is to run… to take flight… or to retreat.
It’s often defined as: False Evidence Appearing Real
- The Real Battle is not around you; it’s within you!
The Dangerous Question is are you allowing your feelings to control your decisions?
Because our emotions can become your greatest enemy.
The Children of Israel saw miracles and experienced deliverance. And yet they complained.
Why do you think that is so?
Because complaining is rooted in: UN-BELIEF
The Power of Belief…. Whatever you believe, even if it’s not true, becomes real to you.
Ask Yourself
- What lies have I believed about yourself?
- What lies have I believed about God?
That becomes a part of your belief system even though it is rooted in a lie.
Spiritual Principle:
- FEAR gives the enemy access.
- FAITH gives God access.
You have heard me say on many occasions, “That he controls the mind controls the man.”
Today’s Challenge:
Don’t let fear:
- shape your future
- alter your decisions
- define your identity
FAITH gives God ACCESS to our LIVES.
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Faith is not just something we talk about, it is how we LIVE.
Faith is:
- not based on what you see
- not based on what you feel
- not based on what others say
Faith is based on what God has already spoken.
WHAT FAITH IS:
“Faith is the substance… and the evidence…”
Faith is:
- substance → it gives reality to what you’re believing for
- evidence → it proves something before it is visible
In Simple Terms… Faith says: “Even if I don’t see it… I believe God is working”
FAITH OPERATES BEFORE THE BREAKTHROUGH
Anyone can believe AFTER they see it come to pass, but faith believes BEFORE anything changes.
Abraham’s Example:
Romans 4:20–21 “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith… being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
Key Insight:
Abraham didn’t:
- have evidence
- have confirmation
But he had confidence in God.
FAITH VS FEAR
Fear says: “What if it doesn’t work?”
Faith says: “What if God moves?”
Spiritual Reality:
- Fear focuses on problems
- Faith focuses on promises
FAITH IS ACTIVATED BY THE WORD
Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Revelation: If you want more faith… You need more Word.
FAITH SPEAKS
Mark 11:23 “…whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed…’ and does not doubt in his heart… he will have whatever he says.”
Faith Is Not Silent, it:
- speaks
- declares
- believes
WHAT FAITH DOES IN YOUR LIFE
Faith will:
✔ Calm your fears
✔ Strengthen your heart
✔ Give you confidence
✔ Position you for miracles
FAITH DURING DELAYS:
- Faith doesn’t quit when things don’t happen immediately.
- Faith says, “God is still working even when I don’t see it”
Today’s Challenge
What are you believing God for today?
- A breakthrough?
- Healing?
- Restoration?
Ask Yourself
Am I:
- walking by faith…
- or
- reacting by sight?
KEY TRUTH
Faith is not denying reality…It is trusting God ABOVE reality.
Today’s DECLARATION:
I will walk by faith.
I will trust God’s Word.
I will not be moved by what I see.
I believe God is working, even now.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, today I’m asking you to increase my faith. Help me trust You when I don’t understand. Strengthen me to believe Your Word above what I see. Teach me to walk by faith every single day. Break every lie I’ve believed. Replace fear with faith. Help me think according to Your Word, and trust You fully. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
