Living From the Word, Not the World

Living From the Word, Not the World

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17)

Faith is not a feeling. Faith is not hope. Faith is not mental agreement. Faith is a spiritual force and it is built the same way muscles are built: by constant use of the Word of God.

If you want strong faith, you don’t pray for more faith… you feed the faith you already have.

Every believer has been given the measure of faith (Romans 12:3), but that faith must be developed. The Word of God is faith’s food. When you hear the Word preached, read it aloud, meditate on it, and speak it out of your mouth, faith begins to rise up on the inside of you.

You cannot build faith by listening to fear-filled news, negative conversations, or religious tradition. Faith responds to God’s Word not our circumstances.

Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4).

If your spirit isn’t feeding on the Word daily, your faith will be weak, no matter how sincere you are.

Faith doesn’t stay silent. Faith speaks.
“We having the same spirit of faith… we believe, and therefore speak.” (2 Corinthians 4:13)

What you say every day is either building faith or tearing it down. Faith-filled words release the power of God. Doubt-filled words cancel it.

You don’t speak what you see, you speak what God said until what your seeing lines up with His Word.

When you say, “God is my source,” faith grows.

When you say, “By His stripes I am healed,” faith strengthens.

When you say, “I walk by faith and not by sight,” faith takes authority.

Your mouth is the valve that releases faith.

Faith Is Released by Action, but Faith that isn’t acted upon stays dormant.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” (James 1:22)

Faith always moves you to obey, even when it doesn’t make sense to the natural mind. When you act on the Word, you prove that you believe it. That’s when God’s power shows up.

Every step of obedience strengthens faith. Every act of trust enlarges it.

You don’t wait until faith feels strong, you act on the Word, and faith becomes strong.

Faith doesn’t back off when pressure comes. Faith stands. Faith holds fast. Faith knows that if God said it, it is already settled. Faith refuses to quit.

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23)

Faith is built when you decide, once and for all, that God’s Word is the final authority in your life.

Todays Faith Declaration…
* I will live by faith.
* I will feed on the Word daily.
* I will speak the Word boldly.
* I will act on what I believe.

God’s promises are mine, and I receive them now by faith.

I walk in victory, strength, and confidence because my faith is built on the unchanging Word of God.

In Jesus’ name, amen.
