“Guard Your Heart, Secure Your Identity, Walk in Victory”
Scripture Focus
Ephesians 6:14 “…having put on the breastplate of righteousness,”
Romans 5:17 “…the gift of righteousness…”
Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation…”
Today’s Thought… Righteousness is not your performance, it is your POSITION.
Religion says; “Just try harder”, but Jesus says; “It is finished!”
John 19:30 “It is finished!”
Righteousness Is a Gift
Romans 5:17 “…For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of Grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.”
Notice
- receive
- gift
Not:
- earn
- achieve
- qualify
What the Breastplate Represents
The breastplate represents our righteousness in Christ.
Why does the breastplate Matter?
Without it:
- you are vulnerable
- one strike can take you out
Spiritually, without righteousness awareness, you become vulnerable to the lies of:
- guilt
- shame
- condemnation
- insecurity
The Enemy’s Strategy
Revelation 12:10 “…the accuser of our brethren…”
He attacks your:
- identity
- confidence
- sense of worth
What the Breastplate Protects
- your heart
- your identity
- your confidence before God
Proverbs 4:23 “Keep your heart with all diligence…”
Putting It On (Daily)
You put it on by:
1. Believing your identity
Romans 5:1 “having been justified by faith…”
2. Declaring truth
Isaiah 54:17 “…their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord.
3. Rejecting lies
2 Corinthians 10:5 “…bringing every thought into captivity…”
4. Living from position, not for position.
You don’t fight to become righteous…You fight from righteousness
The Cross and the Armor Connection
At the cross:
- Jesus was stripped → so you could be clothed
- Jesus was wounded → so you could be protected
- Jesus was condemned → so you could be justified
Final Revelation
The place the enemy attacks most is your heart as this is also the place God has secured most. Remember, he who controls the mind, controls the man.
Remind yourself today:
✔ covered
✔ guarded
✔ established
CLOSING DECLARATION
Jesus didn’t just die to forgive me… He died to clothe me.
I am not striving for acceptance… I am already accepted.
The blood speaks louder than every accusation.
TODAY’S PRAYER
Lord Jesus, Today I put on the breastplate of righteousness. Not my righteousness but Yours. Silence every accusation of the enemy. Break every lie of condemnation and establish my heart in truth. I am covered. I am cleansed. I am made righteous. I am a child of GOD! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
