THE GREAT DIVINE EXCHANGE

The Bible declares; “He Took Your Sin So You Could Receive His Righteousness”

2 Corinthians 5:21“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

Isaiah 53:6 “…And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

Today’s Thought

Today as we celebrate the Resurrection… which is the greatest victory mankind has ever seen… as Jesus gained victory over Death, Hell, and the Grave!

But this victory did not begin at the resurrection…It was secured at the cross.

The Truth About Jesus

  • He never sinned
  • He never committed a crime
  • He did nothing wrong

Yet He was:

  • falsely accused
  • falsely arrested
  • falsely tried
  • falsely condemned
  • and put to death

Heaven’s Plan was NOT an accident.

  • The Romans didn’t take His life.
  • The Jews didn’t take His life.

Because Jesus came to earth on a mission to die for the sins of the world.

The penalty for sin is death:

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death…”

Hebrews 9:22 “…without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin.”

Your righteousness is not earned… it was purchased.

1 Peter 1:18–19 “…you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold… but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

Revelation 1:5 “To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.”

The Blood of Jesus:

  • Cleanses your PAST
  • Removes your GUILT
  • Silences your SHAME

You are not trying to become righteous… You have been made righteous by the blood of Jesus.

The Cross Was More Than Forgiveness

At the cross: Something supernatural happened… It wasn’t just about forgiveness… It was: a divine exchange.

The Two-Sided Transaction

Side 1: Your Sin was placed on Christ

Every:

  • failure
  • rebellion
  • hidden sin
  • shame
  • guilt

Was fully transferred onto Jesus

Side 2: His Righteousness was placed on You

Romans 3:22 “…even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe.”

This Is Not Symbolic, It Is Real!

God treated Jesus as if He lived your life so He could treat you as if you lived Jesus’ life.

Today’s Revelation:

  • The cross was not only the removal of our sin, but it also imparted righteousness.

What This Means for You

  • You are not trying to become righteous but you have been MADE righteous through faith in Jesus Christ.

Today’s Prayer: Lord Jesus, Thank You for the cross. Thank You for the exchange as you took my sin so I could receive Your righteousness. Help me live from that truth every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
