The Greatest Thing in Life Is Not What You Think.

In a world that celebrates knowledge, achievement, and success… God points us to something greater.

“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13)

The greatest thing in your life is not your gifting… Not your calling… Not even your knowledge of Scripture… It is LOVE.

Jesus made it clear:

“You shall love the Lord your God… and… ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” (Matthew 22:37–39)

Everything in the Kingdom flows from this.

But here’s where it gets real… Without love, everything else loses its value.

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass…” (1 Corinthians 13:1)

“…though I understand all mysteries and all knowledge… but have not love, I am nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13:2)

“…though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor… but have not love, it profits me nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13:3)

Let that sink in.

You can:

• know a lot

• do a lot

• give a lot

And still miss the main thing.

Love Is the Standard of Heaven

God is not measuring how much you know.

He is measuring the extent of your love.

“If you remember that your brother has something against you… first be reconciled…” (Matthew 5:23–24)

God is saying: “Relationships matter to Me.”

What Does Love Look Like?

“Love suffers long and is kind… does not envy… is not puffed up…” (1 Corinthians 13:4–7)

Love is:

  • patient under pressure
  • kind when it’s undeserved
  • humble in success
  • forgiving in pain

Today’s Challenge…

Ask yourself today:

  • Is love my highest priority?
  • Do my actions reflect Christ to others?
  • Am I applying what I know?

Devotional Truth…

Love is not proven by what you say…It is proven by how you live.

Today’s Prayer: Father, teach me to love the way You love. Let love be my highest pursuit. Transform my heart so that my actions reflect You. Help me not just know truth… but live it out daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
